What You’ll Learn

Our high standard course runs over 15 weeks, the last week being the welding exam conducted by Weld Australia. This course includes delivery of all theory and practical training.

We will provide minimum 40 hours of approved practical training, delivered prior to candidates undertaking the examination testing conducted by Weld Australia.

Upon registration of the course students will nominate one specific welding ticket for which you are seeking certification. Our expert trainers will offer guidance, instruction and feedback on improving welding techniques required to meet the welding standards of AS1796.

The welding tickets covered include:

  • Welding ticket 3/3E – ARC
  • Welding ticket 7 – TIG
  • Welding ticket 8F – MIG Flux Core
  • Welding ticket 8G – MIG Solid Wire

All materials are provided by Ringwood Training. 

Weld Exam

Weld Australia Exam: Weld Australia assess all Theory & Practical materials, Welding Tickets are issued by them and stored on their database.

Fees for Weld Australia are to be paid individually by candidates during the time of enrolling onto Weld Q Failure to do this will mean “NO Access” to Examinations from Weld Australia.

Prerequisites

To enrol in this course with Ringwood Training you need to have been working in the industry for a minimum of 3 years to meet exam requirements for Weld Australia.

  • cotton drill full sleeve overalls or 100% cotton workwear
  • safety glasses
  • welding helmet
  • welding gloves
